INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION<\/h2>\n\n \"\"

After the Danish Young Academy was founded, academies for young researchers have also been established in many other countries, and networks for young academies have flourished both at the Nordic-Baltic and European level. DUA is engaged in international networks.<\/p>\n

An increased international cooperation will support the Young Academy’s mission statement.<\/p>\n

Most of the societal challenges we face are global: increasing social, economic, and educational gaps, population growth, and climate change. Such problems are best understood and solved by collaborating across professional and national borders and by enhancing the dialogue between researchers, political actors and citizens across national borders.<\/p>\n

The landscape of research policy has also changed radically in recent years, not least due to the establishment of the European Higher Education Area and the European Research Council. These supranational research policy structures have an impact not only on the European research and education climate, but also on states that are not members of the EU. European and international cooperation will provide a better platform to influence research and education policy \u2013 whether it is to influence the prioritization of research areas or the criteria for assessing research quality, or to support young researchers from all over the world in their academic development and careers.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n

DUA collaborates closely with particularly the Nordic and Baltic young academies. Among other things, this group alternately organizes joint meetings. In the fall of 2023 the meeting took place in Oslo, in 2024 DUA hosted it in Copenhagen, and in 2025 the meeting was in Tallin.<\/p>\n
